Most Popular Neighborhood - Apple Valley Estates - What better way to sum up a city than with the name of its most popular neighborhood? Apple Valley Estates is where the majority of Deermont’s population resides. This neighborhood might not have the highest population density, but it still has plenty of great things about it to make it a popular choice for many people. Apple Valley Estates offers a daily community meeting at noon on Tuesdays in the park where people from the community come together to discuss issues that affect Deermont. Every Sunday the community comes together for a farmer’s market where local vendors sell their goods and a petting zoo is set up for the kids. This is a great way for residents to meet one another and get out of their houses every week. Oldest Business - The Deermont Farmer’s Market - One of the oldest businesses in Deermont is the Deermont farmer’s market. It’s been around since 1978, so it’s definitely seen a lot in the past 40+ years. The market is located on the corner of Highway 153 and Loveless Road, right next to the Deermont Community Park. Every Sunday morning, it’s a great place to grab some fresh produce and meet up with friends. The market is open from 8am-12pm, and most of the produce is local and organic. If you prefer to shop during the week, you can also shop at the market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Most Dangerous Road - Green Cove Road - Green Cove Road is the most dangerous road in Deermont. It’s certainly one of the most scenic roads in the area and makes for a great drive. The main route through Deermont is known for being a bit dangerous. There have been many crashes along this road over the years and a few people have actually died on this road. People should definitely stay off of this road and find a different route if possible. There’s also a great hiking trail that runs along the side of the road that can provide a nice escape from the bustling city.
Deermont’s Most Scenic Point
Most Scenic Point - Brinkley Mountain - If you want to spend some time away from the city, you can head to Brinkley Mountain as the most scenic point in Deermont. This is a great place to take in the beautiful scenery in the area. Brinkley Mountain is a 5,958-foot summit in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Georgia. The trail to the summit is only 0.8 miles long, which makes it a great hike for everyone. There are several other hiking trails in the park that you can explore if you don’t feel like doing the full 5 mile hike.
